There are a great number of reasons why we would recommend her, but we will try to explain. Karla is a fantastic communicator. From our first contact with her, she always kept us up-to-date with whatever was currently happening as well as what was on the horizon for our build. Karla was always very friendly and easy to talk to.
Our build occurred during a difficult environment due to covid issues. There were constant supply chain issues including: material shortages, production issues and unprecedented pricing increases. Karla managed all of this with us and the vendors who supplied our materials and products.
Karla made the appointments with us and the vendors regularly and was always on-time for any scheduled meeting.
As clients, we were probably a little unusual, in that we had done a large amount of research into what we wanted in our home. Karla helped us with the perfect amount of design assistance when we asked for it. She never tried to unduly influence design choices with her help.

“When planning to start a build on a custom home you can be overwhelmed with making so many decisions. Trying to find the right builder, finalizing floor plans and staying on budget seemed to consume all my mind could handle. When we were going through the process of starting to finalize our home we never thought of having a designer assist us. That’s when we meet Karla Todd. Through the process Karla set up all the appointments with all the vendors we would use which saved us so much time and energy. As we moved forward picking kitchen cabinets, flooring, backsplash, lighting etc it was amazing how everything was designed as a whole house. We have had family and friends comment about how everything flows so nicely in our new home. I remember Karla picking out something towards the end of the design for our home and her having a vision of standing in an exact spot in the home.
